Then & Now

This beautiful mom found my web site online and when she looked at my "about me" page she realized that she works with my husband! Small world. 

 

Look who decided to show up three weeks early! I promise this basket is not that big, he is just that little!

 

He snuggled right in here, I don't think he wanted to get out!

So beautiful Inside & Out

I had such a great time photographing this family and cannot wait until their new baby arrives!! They really are the nicest family ever!!

 

You know I'm a sucker for daddy's with their little girls!!

 

can you believe her hair?! It is sooo cute!!!

I know I say it a lot, but I really do have the  best job in the world. I was running on pure adrenaline for this shoot. I returned home from Dallas at 1am (because of a rediculously long delay at the airport) the night before. I don't think it hit me until I was driving home and drove for about 20 minutes in the wrong direction on I 75 before I realized it, LOL! She was so good for me, sleeping the entire session and her mom and dad are for good reason totally in love.

Sugar and spice and everything nice

I don't shoot a lot of girls for some reason. She was so good for me, she slept through her whole session and made it all the way to the last shot before telling us she was hungry. Thanks for being so sweet Lily :)

 

I could photograph her mommy all day. You might remember her from maternity session.

My best friend eva talley came over so we just had to snap a few shots of her babe. He is only nine months old and just a few hours after we took this he took his first steps!! I just love this little man to pieces...

 

 

I love my job. I really do! It was a beautiful day, I had the pleasure of hanging out with this amazing family who invited me into their home and allowed me to capture a snippet of their lives. What an honor that is.

This is really my favorite kind of family picture, one where the kids may not be looking at the camera, the cat is trying to get in on the action and it just feels imperfect in some way and natural.

 

we tried really hard to get him before he was crawling (makes my job and mom's so much easier) but this little guy really made me happy that he learned to move between the time they booked and today. I really love this image, and it really makes me realize that I only have a few more days before Brody is on the move as well.

 

she was so thrilled to be getting her picture taken with her brother, what a good big sister!

 

I peeked over while I was photographing the baby and snuck this image of her with her grammy, what a treat!

 

we went into the backyard and mom indulged my idea of making a mini bubble bath. She wasn't quite sure at first but once she warmed up to the idea, she had a blast!!

 

Sweetest boy....

We drove out to Fort Meade for this session and had so much fun!! I have been photographing him since he was in his mommy's tummy (and yes they are all over my web site) and I so love watching these little people grow :) His mom and I became great friends after her maternity session and it is such an honor to be a part of their life and watch this little guy grow up.

 

 

 

 

 

I was seriously ready to move in when I saw their yard, the tree swing, hammocks, and the yummy light inside the house. And then on top of it, they are the nicest people ever! I could talk to mom all day and she has the cutest kids on the planet. Ok ok, enough gushing... this sneek peak is long overdue, so sorry!

 

 

 

and then look who woke up from his nap and joined us!!!

 

It's been way too long...

I promise that I will make a real effort to share more on my blog. If you have been to the web site lately, you have probably noticed a few changes. I am excited to be one of the first lucky clients to be working with luxecetera a fabulous fusion of three amazingly talented designers. I am simply giddy over my new brand! And because a post is just no fun without some photos, I will share the sweetest most amazing family I had the pleasure of working with. They are lovely as they are beautiful and so in love their new little girl.
